Ticket desk and prices (level: raised ground floor)
Please buy your ticket from the ticket desk on the raised ground floor. Concessions are available for people with a disability card. A companion ticket is provided free of charge for people listed on the disability card.

Our ticket desk staff will be happy to help you find your way around the building.
Cloakroom (level: raised ground floor)
The cloakroom is located on the raised ground floor beyond the ticket desk area. A 1€ or 2€ coin is needed to operate the lockers. This will be returned when you reopen the locker.
Welcome desk in the Foyer (level: mezzanine)
Our welcome desk is located in the Foyer of the museum on the mezzanine level. Here, a member of the Education Team is always on hand to help with any questions or concerns you may have.
Lounge (level: mezzanine)
The hdgö Lounge is located in the museum Foyer. This area contains seating and a vending machine for snacks and drinks.
Accessible toilets (level: mezzanine)
An accessible toilet (all genders) is located on the mezzanine level next to the Lounge. The door to the toilet does not open automatically. If you require assistance, a member of the Education Team at the welcome desk in the Foyer will be happy to help.
Seating in the exhibition and folding stools (level: mezzanine)
Seating is available throughout the exhibition. In addition, you can pick up a folding stool from the Foyer or in the exhibition to use as a walking or seating aid.
Borrow a wheelchair
It is possible to pre-book a wheelchair by telephone for use during your visit to the museum.

Magnifying glasses
Magnifying glasses with an integrated LED light are available to borrow from the welcome desk in the Foyer.
Headphones with induction loop
Headphones with an induction loop can be borrowed free of charge from the ticket desk on the raised ground floor. The jack plug will connect the headphones to many of the listening stations in the main exhibition. The Education Team at the welcome desk in the Foyer are happy to answer any questions you may have.
Languages
The exhibition texts in the hdgö are in German and English. Tours can be booked in a range of languages (including English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Romanian and Arabic) and in simple German.
