Tours in simple German

How did we get democracy in Austria and how has it changed? What were people’s lives like 100 years ago and what about now? What important moments have changed how people live together in Austria?

The tour in simple German takes you through the museum’s main exhibition. It gives an overview of Austria’s history since 1918.

Workshops for German language learners

What are the different images of Austria? And how do these relate to the history of the last 100 years?

The workshop “What does Austria mean to you?“ is centred around participants’ views of Austria. Together we have an interactive discussion in easy-to-understand German about the important themes and objects in our main exhibition. Our aim is to connect events from history with participants’ knowledge and questions.
