In 1918, Austria became a democratic republic. What does it mean to live in a democracy? How was democracy fought for, how has it changed, and where does it stand today?
Democracy is not something to be taken for granted; it constantly faces new challenges. Questions about democratic processes, personal opportunities to act, participation, and co-determination are at the heart of this thematic workshop.
