The hdgö is committed to creating a safe and supportive environment for children and young people.
The Convention on the Rights of the Child was adopted by the United Nations in 1989 and ratified by Austria in 1992. Children’s rights are regulated in the Federal Constitutional Law on the Rights of Children, the Federal Child and Youth Services Act 2013 and the child and youth welfare laws of each federal state. Protection and support for children and young people has thus been enshrined in law for over three decades.
The House of Austrian History is committed to providing a safe space for children and young people and has developed the following Safeguarding Policy through a participatory process:
