Eva Meran
Eva Meran has been working at the House of Austrian History since 2017.
From 2002 to 2010, she studied art history and cultural management at the University of Graz and at the Universitá Ca'Foscari in Venice, and from 2014 to 2016 she completed the master's program /ecm (educating/curating/managing) in exhibition theory and practice at the University of Applied Arts Vienna.
Between 2010 and 2015, she worked at <rotor> Center for Contemporary Art in Graz, where she was responsible for project management, press relations, education, and curatorial and editorial work. Over the years, she has been active in a variety of initiatives and organizations (including the smallest gallery – collaboration space, Grazer Kunstverein, kunsttext.werk). In 2016/17, she worked as an associate curator at the Kunsthalle Wien. University teaching: 2018 Institute for Contemporary History at the University of Vienna; 2022/23 Institute for History at the University of Graz.
Since 2017, Eva Meran has been part of the team at the House of Austrian History and led the Education department until February 2026. Since March 2026, she has been working as Curator of Education and Public Engagement.
