Disability History Project

In present and past, people with disabilities have actively been fighting for their rights, to live independently and for agency in their own lives and in society more broadly. These stories are underrepresented in many museums. To change this, the House of Austrian History has initiated a project on Disability History to collect objects and stories on the experiences, political engagement and activism of people with disabilities.
