Vanessa Tautter
Vanessa Tautter joined the House of Austrian History in April 2024 to work on the “Disability History Project”.
Tautter completed their PhD studies at the Centre for Memory, Narrative and Histories at the University of Brighton. They were a junior fellow at the International Research Centre for Cultural Studies in Vienna, a visiting researcher at Queen’s University Belfast, Utrecht University, the Austrian Academy of Sciences and the University of Vienna, and they conducted research at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum. Tautter also contributed to several exhibitions at the House of Austrian History and previously studied history and English in Graz, Maynooth (Ireland) and Morgantown (US). Their research focuses on oral history, cultural history and memory studies. Currently, they work on the Disability History Project, in cooperation with the BMSGPK.
