Das Projekt Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt (TIN* = trans*, inter*, nichtbinär) ist mit einem Workshop am 27. November zu Gast im Haus der Geschichte Österreich (hdgö). Im Rahmen des vom Büro für Mitwirkung der Stadt Wien finanzierten Projekts finden zwischen September und Dezember 2025 insgesamt drei Workshops an unterschiedlichen Orten in Wien statt, die von Persson Perry Baumgartinger und Frederik Marroquín konzipiert wurden. 

Beim Workshop im hdgö liegt der Fokus auf dem Thema Sammeln und Archivieren: Wie kann tin* Geschichte respektvoll gesammelt werden? 

Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt 2: Gemeinsam Geschichte sammeln 

Du möchtest verstehen, was Museen beim Sammeln beachten? Du wolltest Museen schon immer mal sagen, was sie fürs Sammeln von tin* Geschichte_n mitdenken sollten? Du willst gemeinsam TIN*-Geschichte schreiben?  

Perfekt, das wollen wir auch: mit der Mobilen TIN* Werkstatt, drei Workshops und euch!  

Im hdgö diskutieren wir über diese Frage mit Stefan Benedik, dem Leiter der Abteilung „Public History (Kuratieren, Sammeln, Konservieren)". Wir suchen Spuren von tin* Geschichte_n in der Hauptausstellung des hdgö und tauschen uns gemeinsam zum Thema aus. So wird die Mobile TIN*- Werkstatt weiter ergänzt und geformt.  

Gemeinsam schreiben wir tin*Geschichte und machen sie mobil!  

Für Essen und alkoholfreie Getränke ist gesorgt. 

Der Workshop findet in den Lautsprachen Deutsch, Englisch, Spanisch statt; Informationen zu räumlichen Barrieren des hdgö finden sich hier.  

Der Workshop wird von einer Fotografin dokumentiert (Fotos und Kurzfilme).
Mit der Workshop-Anmeldung erklären sich alle Teilnehmenden einverstanden damit.  

Die Teilnahme an der Veranstaltung ist kostenlos.

Zum Projekt  

Wien hat eine lange Geschichte trans, inter und nichtbinärer (tin*) Gruppen, Aktionen, Kämpfe und Feste. Davon wissen viel zu wenige. Das wollen wir – Frederik Marroquín  & Persson Perry Baumgartinger  – ändern.  

Mit der Mobilen TIN*-Werkstatt sammeln, vermitteln und tauschen wir tin* Geschichte_n aus: partizipativ, mobil und transformativ. Und zwar gemeinsam - denn Geschichte schreibt sich nicht allein, dafür braucht es dich & euch & uns alle!  

Dafür organisieren wir drei Workshops mit drei Themen: Welche tin* Geschichten und Gegenstände fehlen? Wie kann tin* Geschichte respektvoll gesammelt werden? Wie kann tin* Geschichte inklusiv vermittelt werden?

Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt: Gemeinsam Wiener Geschichte schreiben ist ein Projekt von Persson Perry Baumgartinger und Frederik Marroquín. 

Frederik Marroquín ist ein guatemaltekisch-deutscher bildender Künstler und Choreograf, der Raum als soziales und architektonisches Gefüge untersucht.  

Persson Perry Baumgartinger ist Berater, Trainer, Forscher und narrative shifter, der die Welten von Trans-Arts & Cultural Production mit Sprachwissenschaft und Kritischem Diversity verbindet.  

Gemeinsam arbeiten sie seit ihrer Installation „Timeline Trans* Aktivismus: Gemeinsam Geschichte schreiben“ (2024, Queer Museum Vienna) an einer mobilen, communitybasierten TIN-Werkstatt. Die zweite Phase, dieses Projekt, ist der Stadt Wien gefördert und wird von Juli bis Dezember 2025 in Kooperation mit verschiedenen Museen durchgeführt.

The Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt project (TIN* = trans*, inter*, non-binary) organizes a workshop on 27 November, hosted by the House of Austrian History (hdgö). It is part of a project funded by the City of Vienna's Office for Participation. Between September and December 2025, a total of three workshops take place at different locations in Vienna, designed by Persson Perry Baumgartinger and Frederik Marroquín.

The workshop at the hdgö will focus on the topic of collecting and archiving: How can sexgender diverse history be collected respectfully? 

Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt 2: Collecting history together  

Would you like to understand what museums consider when collecting? Have you always wanted to tell museums what they should consider when collecting sexgender diverse history? Do you want to write sexgender diverse history together?  

Perfect, that's what we want too: with the Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt, three workshops and you!  

At the House of Austrian History, we will discuss this question with Stefan Benedik, head of ‘Public History (Curating, Collecting, Conserving)’ department. We will search for traces of sexgender diverse history in the main exhibition of the museum and exchange ideas on the topic. This will further complement and shape the Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt.  

Together we will write sexgender diverse history and make it mobile!  

Food and non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.  

The workshop will be held in German, English and Spanish; information on physical barriers at the hdgö can be found here.  

The workshop will be documented by a photographer (photos and short films).
By registering for the workshop, all participants agree to this.

About the project  

Vienna has a long history of trans, intersex and non-binary (tin*) groups, actions, struggles and celebrations. Far too few people know about this. We – Frederik Marroquín & Persson Perry Baumgartinger – want to change that.  

With the Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt, we collect, communicate and exchange sexgender diverse history: participative, mobile and transformative. And we do it together – because history is not written alone, it needs you & all of us!  

To this end, we are organising three workshops on three topics: Which sexgender diversity stories and objects are missing? How can sexgender diverse history be collected respectfully? How can sexgender diverse history be communicated inclusively?

Mobile TIN*-Werkstatt: Writing Vienna's History Together is a project by Persson Perry Baumgartinger and Frederik Marroquín.  

Frederik Marroquín is a Guatemalan-German visual artist and choreographer who explores space as a social and architectural construct.  

Persson Perry Baumgartinger is a consultant, trainer, researcher and narrative shifter who combines the worlds of trans arts & cultural production with linguistics and critical diversity.  

Since their installation ‘Timeline Trans* Activism: Writing History Together’ (2024, Queer Museum Vienna), they have been working together on a mobile, community-based TIN workshop. The second phase of this project is funded by the City of Vienna and will be carried out from July to December 2025 in cooperation with various museums.
